When machining pins using the orbital method or eccentric shafts, it is common to gradually machine the workpiece at both centers. Problems with workpiece holders include whether they can transmit the necessary torque and prevent workpiece deformation due to lateral loads.
The conventional model was developed for crankshaft machining and has a proven track record. Since then, this product has been further improved to accommodate all types of shaft machining.
This product is designed so that no force is applied until the workpiece is grasped in the correct position. Thanks to the hard compensation mechanism, even workpieces that are not perfectly round can be grasped evenly. Therefore, the compensation chuck OVEKA/KA can be said to be the ideal chuck for polishing using a center.
As stable machining is required, Swiss Chuck's compensation chucks have a sealed structure to prevent contamination. The hydraulically driven OVEKA is equipped with a patented lubrication circulation system. Since the internal parts of the chuck are always lubricated during gripping, maintenance-free operation is achieved, extending the life of the chuck and reducing costs.
