■About bending processBending is the process of bending a plate or rod-shaped metal material by applying force so that it conforms to a mold. At Ida Shoten, we make full use of ``mold bending,'' ``folding,'' and ``feed bending'' depending on the purpose.

■Mold bendingThis is a processing method that fixes the material in a mold and bends it by applying force. A typical example is ``push bending,'' in which a board fixed to a table is pushed in from above. Suitable for bending plate-shaped or rod-shaped materials into simple V-shapes, U-shapes, L-shapes, and Z-shapes.

■FoldingA metal processing method in which a material is fixed to an R (round)-shaped pedestal and then folded along its outer circumference while applying force. Using a special machine called a folding machine, we process metal so that the edges of the plate are bent at an angle of 90° or more.

■Feed bendingA processing method that bends metal materials by passing them between multiple rollers using their rotational force. The unique feature of this method is that parts with various cross-sectional shapes can be manufactured by continuously bending the material without fixing it in a mold.
