About This Product

This is a horizontal wire electrical discharge machine that uses oil-based machining fluid and can use fine wire. With sub-micron precision and excellent surface finish, this machine is ideal for micro-machining of small electronic parts, medical equipment, etc.

■Features/Specifications

This machine uses a horizontal wire running method. This improves wire connection performance and allows you to reliably pass a 20 µm fine wire through a small 30 µm diameter starting hole. In addition, it can support a high level of automation, such as workpiece indexing, automatic core processing, and automatic workpiece exchange. The X and Y axes use granite aerostatic guides that have excellent followability at minute feeds. Since the guide surface is non-contact, accuracy is maintained permanently. Using a 10 nm scale feedback system, the programmable minimum command unit is 0.1 µm. The machining fluid used is oil, which has a narrow discharge gap and is advantageous for fine machining. Narrow slit finishing processing with a width of 32μm and the best surface roughness of Rz 0.1μm for a plate thickness of 10mm are achieved. The machine comes standard with a constant temperature chamber that controls temperature variations within ±0.5°C using a highly airtight exterior cover and high-performance air conditioner. Even during long-time machining, variations in pitch accuracy and shape accuracy are minimal. The machine control system is equipped with Hyper-i, which allows intuitive operation. Operation is an efficient interface consisting of three categories: program/setup/operation. Extremely simple operation helps reduce setting errors and speeds up work. The high-resolution 24-inch touchscreen feels like a tablet and provides operators with all the information they need to stay productive, including user manuals, help features, and training tutorials. Improve operator competency while reducing training time.
