About This Product

■Suppresses sparks and heat generated by the motor, protecting it from ignition and explosion.

At chemical factories and petroleum product factories that handle gasoline, etc., the heat and sparks generated by motors can lead to fires. This is where "sparkless motors" come into play. This motor does not emit even the slightest spark by ensuring a gap between the rotating parts and the contact parts within the motor. Safety is more important than energy efficiency and energy savings.

■Overview/Features

This series complies with IEC-60079-0, IEC60079-7 or 15 and EN-60079-0, EN-60079-7 or 15, so it can be used in hazardous areas Zone 2.

■Specifications

・“Ex ec/nA” (non-spark type) (fin frame type) ・Series certified ・Frame 250-450 (horizontal & vertical) ・Frame 500, 560 (horizontal) ・IECEx & ATEX Can be used with fixed speed machines and variable speed machines. However, inverters are specified for variable speed machines, and only TMdrive series inverters (manufactured by TMEIC), Toshiba-VF (manufactured by Toshiba), and FREQROL (manufactured by Mitsubishi) drives are certified.
