About This Product

■Obtained explosion-proof certification from a domestic certification body. Protect chemical factories from fires.

Explosion-proof motors can be used in high-risk locations such as chemical factories where explosive gas may be generated under normal conditions. This motor does not emit sparks even if it explodes internally, and it also does not tolerate the rise in air pressure that occurs when sparks occur.

■Overview/Features

The TM21 d2G4 series is designed and manufactured in Japan primarily for use in hazardous locations indoors and outdoors. This series is available in both horizontal and vertical axes. Since it is a fully enclosed external fan type (IC411 cooling structure), it is a motor suitable for many installation environments. In addition, it has passed the strict inspection and certification of TIIS (Institute of Industrial Safety Technology), so you can use it with confidence.

■Flameproof explosion-proof motor that complies with domestic explosion-proof guidelines

A flameproof explosion-proof motor has a completely enclosed structure, so that even if a gas explosion occurs inside the container, the parts that form the container (motor frame, bracket, terminal box) can withstand the pressure and prevent explosive gas from outside. It has a structure that does not catch fire.

■Features of TM21 explosion-proof series

We have added a new flameproof series to the popular TM21 series. Although we have manufactured flameproof explosion-proof motors in the previous series, the new TM21 flameproof type has the following additional advantages:

■Quick delivery available

All products have been certified (*2) for compliance with the domestic explosion-proof guidelines (*1). Due to sharing internal parts with the TM21 standard series, we can provide short delivery times. *1: Explosion-proof guideline for factory electrical equipment (Gas Vapor Explosion-proof 1979) Published by Japan Industrial Safety Technology Association *2: The same model has been certified over a wide area, but if a certification exam is required, delivery will take longer.

■Improved maintainability

Like the TM21 standard series, the bearing part has been optimally designed to extend bearing life and grease replenishment intervals.

■Application to inverter drive

Developed into a series as a combination product with an inverter.
