■Features of telecentric lenses

■Object side telecentric lens

This lens has a telecentric structure only on the object side. Basically, the size of the image does not change even if the workpiece moves up and down. Although accuracy may be lower than double-sided telecentric, it has the advantage of being able to be designed more compactly.

■Both sides telecentric lens

This lens has a telecentric structure on both the object side and image side. It has the advantage of being able to measure with higher precision than a normal telecentric lens, even if there are variations in the workpiece or the camera and sensor are not mounted accurately. They are more expensive than object-side telecentric lenses, and the overall length of the lens may be longer.
