About This Product

■Concept

Generally, 4/3 type is said to be the limit for maintaining performance with C mount. By adopting M42, TFL, and TFL-II mounts, the VM series pursues optical performance that cannot be achieved with C mounts, making it possible to use it with large sensors. While achieving optical performance superior to C mount, it is smaller than F mount. By using a screw mount and a unique mechanical mechanism that prevents the knob screw from falling off, the lens is stable even when used in industrial applications. Features

Type 2 (Φ32mm), suitable for APS-C sensors.

■High resolution

Supports up to 50MP and 3.1μm. High resolution lens suitable for 8K resolution, high pixel cameras.

Achieves increased peripheral light intensity and low distortion.

■Improved optical performance

Floating mechanism, wideband multi-coat

■Kowa's unique mechanical mechanism

Adopts a new mechanism that prevents the knob screw from falling off. Compatible with M42 mount and TFL mount (also compatible with TFL-II mount with optional adapter)

■Large sensor

The compatible format size of the sensor is 2 type (Φ32mm), which is ideal for APS-C sensors.

■High resolution

Supports up to 50MP and 3.1μm. This is a high-resolution lens that is compatible with 8K resolution and high-pixel cameras.

■Improved optical performance

A floating mechanism is used to ensure performance does not deteriorate at any subject distance. Additionally, wideband multi-coating is applied to the lens surface to improve transmittance in the near-infrared region. Optical performance has been improved so that it can be used in a variety of situations.
