About This Product
Locking type inserts are colored red to distinguish them from free type (regular) inserts.
■Lock type insert
Lock-type inserts have a series of straight, polygonal tocking coils. When a bolt (screw) passes through this coil, these straight parts bend outward, creating a repulsive force in the bolt that tries to return, continuously tightening the bolt. This tightening force is converted into torque and is controlled by manufacturing to ensure that a certain amount of force is applied.
Lock type inserts are inserts that provide a reliable tightening effect on the female thread side, and eliminate the need for a locking mechanism with other parts on the male thread side. Therefore, it is an insert that can contribute to cost reduction and smart product design.
