About This Product

■Roller follower

Roller followers are compact and highly rigid bearings that have needle bearings built into them and are used as cam plates and guide rollers for linear motion. The outer ring rotates while making direct contact with the mating surface, so it is designed to be thick and able to withstand impact loads. In addition, a needle roller with a precision cage is incorporated inside the outer ring, which prevents skew and provides excellent rotational performance, allowing it to withstand high-speed rotation. Roller followers come in two types: a separable type in which the inner and outer rings can be separated, and a non-separable type in which the inner and outer rings cannot be separated. The outer diameter of the outer ring is either spherical or cylindrical, and the spherical outer ring easily absorbs misalignment of the axis during installation and helps alleviate uneven loads. It is widely used in the cam mechanisms of automatic machines and special-purpose machines, as well as various conveyance devices, conveyors, bookbinding machines, tool changers in machining centers, pallet changers, automatic painting machines, and sliding forks in automatic warehouses.

The NAST type is a separate type bearing that combines a thick outer ring, an inner ring, and a needle roller with a precision cage. The RNAST type is the NAST type without an inner ring.
