About This Product

■Spline nut

Spline nuts DPM type/DP type are low-cost bearings that are die-cast from a special alloy using a highly accurate spline shaft as the core. Unlike conventional machined products, the chill layer formed during casting remains on the sliding surface, resulting in excellent wear resistance. The surface of the combined spline shaft is work-hardened by rolling and has a mirror finish, allowing for smooth sliding. The specially designed spline tooth profile has a large contact area and has concentricity that automatically determines the center when torque is applied, so it exhibits stable torque transmission performance.

■Features of dedicated rolled shafts Special rolled shafts with standardized lengths are available for spline nuts.

・Improved wear resistance. Because the tooth profile of the shaft is formed by cold rolling, the surface of the tooth surface is work hardened to over 250 HV, and has a smooth mirror finish, providing excellent wear resistance. The combination of nuts allows for extremely smooth movement. ・Improved mechanical properties. In the internal structure of the tooth surface of a rolled shaft, fiber flow occurs along the contour of the tooth profile, and the structure at the tooth root becomes extremely dense, increasing fatigue strength. ・Additional work to the shaft end support. Since the shaft is rolled, additional machining such as the support bearing at the end of the shaft can be easily done by turning or milling.
