About This Product

■Summary

The internal floater is movable, so it covers the misalignment of the holes during assembly, allowing for easy and beautiful installation.

■Product description

Floating can be attached to the base material simply by press-fitting. The knurling part deforms and flows the base material, and the base material flows into the tapered part, providing strong holding power. It significantly reduces the time and cost of conventional assembly work, and eliminates pitch misalignment during assembly. The self-floating zipper has a double structure, so the internal floater can move approximately 0.4mm on each side. Therefore, it can cover the misalignment of the panel mounting holes, allowing for easy and beautiful coverage.

■Installation

・Press-fitted using conventional equipment (standard press machine). ・Drill the specified mounting holes. - (Note) At this time, do not remove any burrs or other base material from the mounting hole on the mounting side, and just press fit. ・Insert the guide part (pilot part) of the self-floating fastener into the installation hole. - Apply pressure with a press until the knurling part is flush with the mating base material.

■Reliability

・High punching force and rotational torque can be obtained. - By press-fitting, the knurling part plastically deforms the mating plate material and is fixed around the reversely tapered shank, resulting in high punching force. - The corrugated knurling section displaces the mating metal in a corrugated manner, resulting in high rotational torque.

■Results

・It has a beautiful finish. - Post-processing after pressing is basically unnecessary.
