About This Product
Cellulose NanoFiber (hereinafter referred to as CNF) is wood fiber (pulp) that has been refined to nano-order (one millionth of 1 mm). CNF is an excellent material that is transparent, light, durable, resistant to deformation, and has a high thickening effect, and is used in many fields such as replacing plastics, carbon black, and other conventional materials, and adding new functions. We look forward to seeing you in action.
Cellulose nanofiber (CNF) is a biomass material made from wood fibers, the raw material for paper, that have been refined down to the nanometer (nm) level.
■Phosphate esterified CNF
We have adopted the ``phosphoric acid esterification method'' as an effective method to reduce miniaturization energy during manufacturing. This method has made it possible to produce CNF of high quality (high transparency, high viscosity, and thixotropy) with higher production efficiency than conventional methods. We started operating our CNF demonstration manufacturing facility in 2017. Currently, we are manufacturing a variety of CNF, including transparent CNF slurry "AUROVISCO" and coarse CNF slurry, and are actively providing samples and developing applications for commercialization.
■Thermal processing creates a plastic alternative material that has both rigidity and impact resistance.
Using our unique technology, cellulose fibers derived from plant materials and polyolefin resin are uniformly dispersed, so injection molding produces a cellulose resin molded product that has both rigidity and impact resistance. As you can see from its high whiteness, cellulose is less damaged by heat, making it possible to add functions that fully utilize the properties of cellulose.
By changing the ratio of cellulose and resin, the properties of each can be adjusted.
■Features
・As it boasts extremely high impact resistance, it can be expected to be applied to various parts including automobile interiors.
・VOCs derived from cellulose fibers can be reduced, making it possible to manufacture cellulose-containing plastic parts with little odor.
- In combination with colored pellets, the possibilities for colorful reduced plastic products expand.
■Application examples
・Auto parts
・General plastic products
■Injection molding is possible as freely as with conventional resins.
・You can manufacture reduced plastic products using existing equipment and molds.
・Suitable for small molds
・Since the coloring of the pellet itself is relatively suppressed, brightly colored molded products can be created.
