■Absolute magnetic sensor head AKS16 for linear and rotational measurements

The combination of AKS16 and a magnetic scale or magnetic ring provides inexpensive magnetic absolute measurement for linear or rotational measurements. AKS16 can measure linearly up to 192mm and can sense circumference or shaft end face in rotation, and is available in 6 sizes of outer diameter. The sensor head provides both BISS-C or SSI as outputs, as well as incremental signal outputs in parallel. This 18-20 bit resolution hollow shaft sensor is more effective when mounted on the shaft end than a typical shaft encoder. The external dimensions of the sensor head are extremely compact: length 24.2mm x width 16mm x height 6.6mm (Molex version) or 3.4mm (FFC version).
