■Kaeser Rotary Blower ・Rotary blower efficiency and durability

Known worldwide for their efficiency and durability, Kaeser's compact blower blocks are the result of decades of blower manufacturing and design experience. All Kaeser blocks are suitable for operation at pressures up to 0.1 MPa and temperatures up to 155°C. When lower working pressures are required, users can rest assured that Kaeser blowers offer excellent performance even at high suction temperatures. This high temperature capacity ensures a wide control range for speed control operation, minimizes flow rate, and contributes to further energy savings. The rotor and shaft of each blower block are perfectly balanced for smooth and trouble-free operation (Q2.5). This not only enhances durability but also minimizes maintenance costs. Kaeser blower blocks use extremely durable cylinder roller bearings. This bearing can withstand up to 10 times more dynamic loads than traditional self-aligning bearings. As a result, the bearings last much longer (100,000 h), reducing new bearing costs and increasing system availability. Additionally, Kaeser blower blocks use high-precision spur gears. Its lateral space is kept to a minimum, which contributes significantly to its excellent volumetric efficiency (Nm3 per kWh). This spur gear enhances the durability of cylinder roller bearings since the radial forces when the gear is diagonal are completely eliminated.

Air is trapped between the rotor and housing from the inlet side and is transported to the exhaust port without being compressed internally. Towards the exhaust port, the inner diameter of the casing becomes somewhat eccentric. Therefore, as the lobe advances toward the exit, the gap with the casing increases. This gradually equalizes the pressure in the exhaust port and the air behind the front lobe. In the case of a two-wing block, sudden pressure equalization occurs when the forward lobe crosses the edge of the exhaust port. This is why a 3-wing block has much less pulsation than a 2-wing block. And finally, the captured air is forced out into the pipework.
