About This Product
A transmission grating is an optical element that angularly disperses incident light to form a spectrum. State-of-the-art design and precision lithography wafer-scale manufacturing are used to achieve the highest diffraction efficiency and lowest PDL. Additionally, all gratings are masters created using a direct manufacturing method without replicas, resulting in low scattering and long-lasting high performance.
High diffraction efficiency (95% typical) minimizes optical losses in multipass configurations. High-energy pulsed and CW laser systems can benefit from the high optical damage threshold of LightSmith gratings. Contains no organic materials and can withstand temperatures up to 500°C without deteriorating performance. Unlike reflection gratings, transmission gratings are polarization independent, have a conveniently large angular separation between the input beam and the diffracted beam, and can be operated at optimal Littrow angles.
