■2ch load switch IC with ideal diode function
The XC8112 series is a 2ch load switch IC with ideal diode function. This IC regulates the VOUT pin voltage to VIN - 20mV, so it can suppress heat generation compared to general diodes. When voltage is applied to the VOUT pin and exceeds VIN-20mV, the driver FET is turned OFF.
Furthermore, when the VOUT pin voltage increases by more than VIN + 20mV, the IC's internal power supply is switched from VIN to VOUT, so it prevents reverse current from flowing from the VOUT pin to the VIN pin through the parasitic diode, and cuts off the current flowing from VIN to the IC. Masu. This makes it easy to implement an output voltage OR circuit and reduces battery consumption for backup applications.
Also, by connecting 2ch load switches in parallel, it can be used as a high current load switch/low Ron load switch. It has been certified to the international standard IEC 62368-1, which specifies safety requirements, and can simplify single failure testing of downstream circuits. By adopting a foldback method for overcurrent limiting, short-circuit current can be suppressed to 50mA, allowing safe use even in the event of a short-circuit. The thermal shutdown function also prevents the IC from being destroyed by heat.
