About This Product

■Features

Bruker's radiation survey meter SVGps is a high-precision handheld system that combines a Geiger-Müller counter and a semiconductor detector. The system includes a lightweight external probe that simultaneously detects alpha, beta, gamma, and X-rays. If you need to extend the range of your beta/gamma measurements, a dedicated probe is available as an option to increase the detection limit by up to 5 times. Neutron beam detection is also available with an optional probe. Whichever probe you connect, SVGps recognizes it and sets the measurement parameters accordingly.

■Main applications

Primary applications include military, civil defense, and direct use by first responders to assist in locating ionizing radiation threats. SVGps is also used extensively in nuclear waste storage facilities, nuclear power plants, and civilian facilities that analyze radioactive materials.

■Main specifications

The utility of SVGps is further enhanced by the inclusion of an integrated GPS/GLOSNASS module linked to an internal data logger. Radiation measurements at a specific GPS location can be downloaded from the unit using an infrared data transfer module and displayed directly on a world map. The scale of the map can be adjusted to suit your requirements and includes road-level data to allow you to establish the exact coordinates of the recorded data. Powered by a single standard rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the system is equipped with a solar panel to maintain the battery's charge level. For transport and storage, the SVGps comes in a sturdy case and comes with a comprehensive accessory pack.
