About This Product
SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) is a highly energy-efficient power generation system that generates electricity through a chemical reaction between fuel (hydrogen) and oxygen, and recovers waste heat to supply energy as heat. It is a unit. The cell stack is the heart of the SOFC unit, which consists of dozens of ceramic power generation cells arranged in series and bonded together.
Since Kyocera began research and development of fuel cells in 1985, we have continued to take on the challenge of developing small SOFC technology, and in 2011 Kyocera's cell stack was installed in the world's first home SOFC power generation system.

Kyocera's SOFC cell stack uses a unique cylindrical flat cell shape and a cell cantilever structure, achieving excellent durability, compact size, and high power generation efficiency.

■Basic performance
Kyocera's SOFC cell stack has been improved since mass production began in 2011, and has achieved further miniaturization with the 3rd generation product. Based on advanced fine ceramics design, manufacturing, and evaluation technology, we have confirmed continuous operation for 90,000 hours and 360 startups and stops (assuming 12 years) (*). *Test results under 700℃ electric furnace, hydrogen/air power generation conditions. Performance and durability will vary depending on usage environment and operating conditions (temperature, gas type, etc.).
