About This Product

■Summary

Conventional pumping stations are installed above ground level (GL) to prevent even the electric motor from submerging in water. However, due to the increasing trend of heavy rains, there are an increasing number of cases in which the electric motor is submerged in water at the conventional installation height, making the pump inoperable. Water-resistant motor-integrated pumps have a water-resistant, integrated pump and motor, making the entire structure watertight. Therefore, even if the pumping station were to flood, the pumps would be able to operate without any problems and the drainage function would be ensured. Additionally, since the pump and electric motor are integrated, equipment is simplified and earthquake resistance is improved.

■Application effect

- Watertight structure that integrates a vertical shaft pump and a water-resistant motor allows operation even when submerged in water. As a result, it also contributes to the early recovery of lifelines. - Since the water-resistant motor is submerged in air (normally), there is no concern about insulation deterioration compared to submersible motor pumps. ・Excellent earthquake resistance due to the integrated structure of the pump and motor. - The pump and motor have excellent water resistance, so they can be installed outdoors (without a building). ・Since the water-resistant motor and the upper part of the pump are installed on land, inspection is easier than with submersible motor pumps. ・Equipment is simple and inexpensive because no intermediate shaft is required. ・Equipment can be consolidated into the pump room, making maintenance management easier.
