About This Product

A static mixer is a unique stationary mixer (line mixer) without any driving parts. The fluid that enters the mixer is sequentially agitated and mixed by elements.

■Static mixer element shape

The element is a rectangular plate twisted 180 degrees, and there are right and left elements depending on the direction of twist. The dimensions of each element are basically 1.5 times the length of the diameter.

■Mixing principle

Static mixers effectively mix fluids by dividing, converting, and inverting.

■Dividing action

The fluid is divided into two parts each time it passes through one element. Number of divisions N = 2nn: Number of elements

■Conversion action

The fluid is sorted along the twisting plane within the element from the center of the tube to the wall and from the wall to the center.

■Reversal action

The direction of rotation of the fluid changes for each element, and the fluid is stirred turbulently due to the sudden reversal of inertial force.

■Mixing liquid and liquid

Mutually soluble, low-viscosity substances are mixed primarily by inversion. You can see how a relatively small number of elements mixes well.

■Dispersion of liquid and liquid

Even when low-viscosity substances are not mutually soluble, such as water and oil, they are mainly dispersed by conversion. You can see how the dispersed particle size decreases each time it passes through the element.

■Mixing of high viscosity substances

Highly viscous substances are mixed mainly by splitting action and conversion action among the three mixing principles. You can clearly see that the number of stripes increases and mixes with each element. Purpose
