About This Product

■What is Edge AI Machine Vision (Edge AI)?

"Edge AI Machine Vision" is an automatic inspection machine that utilizes AI. It compares the product with the learned normal product and quickly determines whether it is good or bad based on the degree of abnormality such as scratches or dirt. Even if the target product changes, it can be re-learned and re-registered, making it possible to improve and standardize inspection efficiency by reducing the burden of visual inspection and promoting automation.

■What Edge AI Machine Vision (Edge AI) can do

・Reduce costs by automating the visual inspection of the production line. - Photograph normal products and perform image processing and learning. - Dedicated modules and IoT-compatible industrial controllers enable smooth on-site learning, real-time diagnosis (inference), and system control.

■Edge AI Machine Vision (Edge AI) solves these problems at the visual inspection site.

・It is difficult to prepare for learning because there are almost no abnormal products. - Manual work requires a huge amount of man-hours ・Tuning the inspection machine is time consuming and costly

■AI learns and makes inferences quickly using only normal products

The edge AI module "HX-AIX1" uses a unique algorithm based on deep neural networks to learn using only normal product data, so there is no need to prepare data for abnormal products. The learning time for learning one product using 2000 normal product images is approximately 40 minutes. The inference speed is approximately 300 frames per minute (1 frame per 0.2 seconds), achieving high-speed AI learning and inference.

■From learning to diagnosis (inference) can be completed with a single edge AI

It is equipped with a GPU, dedicated memory, and storage area suitable for edge AI learning and inference. Utilizing edge AI, you can operate and configure the system only on site.

■No specialized program required. Settings for learning and diagnosis can be configured by the customer

Changes, additions, and deletions of inspection targets can be easily performed using the "Settings/Operation Tablet." Customers can perform the settings themselves without dispatching engineers.

■Reducing the effort and cost when introducing AI visual inspection

Conventional visual inspection equipment required setting complicated conditions for each product and preparing a dedicated system for training an AI program from large amounts of image data. This helps reduce the huge amount of man-hours and costs associated with registration work that occurs every time a new product is released.
