Hitachi proposes an ``energy recovery system'' that recovers unused hydroelectric energy, which has been overlooked until now, as electrical energy using a water generating turbine. The recovered electricity can be used for a variety of purposes, such as reducing the power consumption of equipment and for lighting and hot water supply. Ever since the revised Energy Saving Law came into effect, the need for energy saving has been increasing. Hitachi provides energy recovery systems to meet customer solutions. The "Energy Recovery System" achieves highly efficient energy recovery by optimally controlling the rotation speed of the water turbine according to the effective head, and also uses an in-line water turbine with an integrated generator so that it can be installed in the middle of piping, making it compact and compact. We have achieved this goal. This is a unique product that combines our fluid technology, motor, and control technology to reduce the burden on the environment, and achieves a high recovery of unused energy.

■High efficiency with energy recovery rate of approximately 60%

For example, an output of 9kW is achieved when the effective head is 35m and the flow rate is 2.8m3/min. (Energy recovery rate is MAX 59%)

■Can handle various loads due to electrical output

For devices driven by inverters, direct current is transmitted from the controller to the inverter. It is also possible to transmit single-phase 200V and three-phase 200V AC power via a grid connection device.

■More power can be recovered depending on the head and flow rate.

More electricity can be recovered depending on the height, head, and flow rate of the building and equipment location. If the water turbine is high rise and has a large head, it can be operated in series, or if the flow rate is large, it can be operated in parallel (3kW model), etc., depending on the scale.

■Can be installed in a space-saving manner

The main unit is compact and lightweight, with a water wheel and generator integrated into one unit. The in-line design allows installation in the middle of piping, making it possible to install it even in tight spaces.

■Bypass piping (optional) also available

Even during maintenance of the water turbine/generator itself, there is no problem with operation due to bypass piping installation.
