About This Product

■Summary

At Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems, we are working to address various environmental issues and not only improve the performance of our products, but also their environmental performance. We have also developed the ``Super Amorphous Kanade Series,'' an environmentally friendly transformer, as a next-generation transformer that uses environmentally friendly ester oil.

■Eco-friendly with plant-derived soybean oil.

Super Amorphous Kanade's insulating oil uses soybean oil, which has the property of being decomposed by microorganisms in nature (biodegradable). Therefore, even if an oil leak occurs due to a disaster, there is less concern about contamination of the soil, rivers, or ocean, and it is safer than mineral oil used in general transformers. In addition, carbon dioxide is emitted through the incineration and processing of soybean oil, but since soybeans, the raw material, absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis during the growth process, it is necessary to offset emissions and absorption during the life cycle (carbon neutral), contributing to reducing environmental impact.

■Excellent disaster prevention in case of emergencies.

Soybean oil has a flash point of 320°C, which is higher than conventional mineral oil, and is classified as a designated flammable substance under the Fire Service Act and is not a dangerous substance. Therefore, storage conditions may be relaxed. In addition, Super Amorphous Kanade uses soybean oil with excellent disaster prevention properties that comply with the certification standards established by FM Global and UL certification.

■Compact design makes space more efficient.

Super Amorphous Kanade also contributes to the effective use of installation space in electrical rooms and panels. By raising the heat resistance class of the transformer through semi-hybrid insulation, which is an appropriate combination of soybean oil and heat-resistant paper that can be used even at high temperatures, the installation area has been reduced by up to 18%* compared to conventional Top Runner transformers. . Additionally, compared to older transformers that are being replaced, the installation area has been reduced by 31%.

■Contributing to the required energy savings.

Distribution transformers, which are used in a wide range of fields such as factories and buildings, are designated as specified equipment by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and are required to be energy-saving. Super Amorphous Kanade uses an amorphous alloy for its iron core, which reduces no-load loss and has achieved the third criterion for Top Runner transformers starting in 2026. There are other model numbers as well.
