About This Product
■What is a roller box?
Roller boxes are tools that have been used for rough milling on external diameters on 6-axis automatic lathes for a long time. There is a roller on the opposite side of the insert, which has a mechanism to prevent the workpiece from escaping during machining.
The upper roller has a burnishing mechanism that improves the surface quality after cutting. It is used for rough grinding of workpieces with long overhangs, and for improving the efficiency of rough grinding with large machining allowances.
Special insert for roller box
■Chip stream insert
The unique shape minimizes the required cutting force. Discharges chips connected in a coiled manner.
■Chip breaker insert
More cutting force is required than the stream type. Chips are broken into short pieces, allowing for a wider range of adjustment of machining conditions.
■Posi insert
This insert is used when machining cast iron, etc., when the machining allowance is small.
