About This Product

■What is SEH Gravostar?

Gravostar marking tool (micro percussion tool) Gravostar marking tools can be used inside machine tools (CNC machines). Therefore, there is no need for a special engraving machine and it is possible to reduce the number of workers. Also, compared to writing with a ball end mill, etc., the marking speed is faster and the tool life is significantly longer.

■Roller emboss type

This tool features an axially spring-loaded pretensioned marking needle with a freely rotating solid carbide ball at its tip. Marking is possible by compressing the material by rolling a hard metal ball against the surface of the material.

■Application field

Marking on workpieces We have a track record of use in a variety of fields such as automotive parts, pneumatic/hydraulic parts, etc. Since it is a roller type, it is affected by the surface roughness of the workpiece surface, so it is not suitable for marking the surface of castings. However, since the marking method is different from the above-mentioned products, detailed marking without burrs is possible.

・Used in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installation required) -Very easily adjustable tool (no need for needle drive) ・Standard model with φ20 mm shank

■Tool specifications

・Tool stroke: Maximum approximately 4mm ・Anodized aluminum housing with reinforced steel plate in the clamp part (prevents deformation caused by clamp screws) ・Marking needle with freely rotating carbide ball (material hardness HRC 92) -The tip can be easily replaced. ・Can be used on almost all work materials (maximum marking surface hardness of approximately 62 HRC) ・Normal pretension pressure of marking needle (98N)
