About This Product

■What is SEH Gravostar?

Gravostar marking tool (micro percussion tool) Gravostar marking tools can be used inside machine tools (CNC machines). Therefore, there is no need for a special engraving machine and it is possible to reduce the number of workers. Also, compared to writing with a ball end mill, etc., the marking speed is faster and the tool life is significantly longer.

■Scratching type (marking)

Scratch marking is a product that can be used even on processing machines that cannot be supplied with air coolant. No needle drive is required as the tip is tensioned by a spring. This is a marking method that uses a tool to rub against the workpiece, and uses a combination of compression and displacement of the material. When the needle tip contacts the workpiece, the stylus (needle) begins marking the surface of the material with a set pretension. Because it has a simple structure such as a casing, spring, and needle, it does not require any elements to drive the tool like the air/coolant drive type. The workpiece is marked by a combination of compression and displacement of the material. As soon as the tip of the needle comes into contact with the workpiece, the needle penetrates the surface of the material with a defined pretension.

・Used in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installation required) -Very easily adjustable tool (no need for needle drive) ・Standard model with φ12 and φ20 mm shanks

■Tool specifications

・Tool stroke: Maximum approximately 5mm (can also be used on uneven marking surfaces) ・Anodized aluminum housing with reinforced steel plate in the clamp part (prevents deformation caused by clamp screws) ・Two adjustable marking depths (marking needle tension pressure 30 or 80 N) - It is very easy to replace the stylus.
