About This Product

■What is SEH Gravostar?

Gravostar marking tool (micro percussion tool) Gravostar marking tools can be used inside machine tools (CNC machines). Therefore, there is no need for a special engraving machine and it is possible to reduce the number of workers. Also, compared to writing with a ball end mill, etc., the marking speed is faster and the tool life is significantly longer.

■Coolant drive type

Unlike engraving with ball end mills, etc., the Gravostar coolant-driven type performs marking by point pressure by vibrating a carbide stylus at high speed. The coolant-driven type operates with a constant vibration of 300Hz, so the distance between the dots is extremely short, making it possible to achieve beautiful marking quality with high visibility. The mechanism for controlling the vibration of the stylus is integrated into the tool. This means that when the machine's coolant supply is turned on, the stylus starts vibrating. The Gravostar WS-20 tool's oscillating stylus operates using coolant pressure supplied through the machine spindle. All mechanisms necessary for tool operation are integrated into the tool.

■General information

・Used in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installation required) ・Stylus (needle) driven by compressed air supply via mechanical spindle (required air pressure is approximately 0.5-5.0Mpa) ・Standard model with φ20mm shank ・Various holders are available as options. ・Various stylus holders (optional available) Changing the stylus is very easy.
