About This Product

■What is poly return?

Poly Return is a tool used in combination with the rotary tool holder of a compound lathe or multi-spindle automatic lathe to cut the outside diameter into a polygon. The cartridge part is replaceable, and the position of the cutting edge can be adjusted. Additionally, some cartridges can be fitted with 4-corner inserts. Don't worry even if you don't have a holder for polygon processing. Yamada Machine Tools handles products from Himatec, a highly rigid rotary tool holder for lathes. basic information

■What is polygon processing?

This method synchronizes the rotation ratio of the cutter and spindle to 2:1 and processes the outer diameter of the workpiece into a polygonal shape. If there is one blade, it is possible to process two chamfers, if there are two blades, it can be made into a quadrangle, and if there are three blades, it can be made into a hexagon.
