About This Product

■What is BENZ LinA4.0?

A slotting tool for machining keyways, polygonal holes, splines, etc. with cutting machines such as lathes and machining centers. Motorized slotting unit BENZ LinA4.0 is a unit that allows this slotting process to be performed more efficiently on a multi-purpose lathe. Compared to slotting processing using a sliding turret, processing is completed approximately 3 to 6 times faster, so slotting of mass-produced parts and processing of multi-tooth shapes such as splines and serrations can be performed efficiently. . BENZ LinA4.0 is a unit that converts the rotation of the milling axis of a compound lathe into 4-stroke linear motion.The rotation from the motor is converted into the following 4 tool paths required for slotting processing using an internal mechanical mechanism. I'll give it to you. ・High-speed Z feed ・X-axis evacuation ・Z-axis high-speed evacuation ・X-axis return to origin Additionally, the machining program can be simplified as it automatically repeats four passes. By replacing the special tip tool and prism holder, it is possible to process various groove shapes such as keyways, hexagonal holes, square holes, splines, and serrations. Additionally, by controlling the direction of rotation, it can handle both internal and external machining.

■How to select BENZ LinA4.0

BENZ LinA4.0 is a unit for a multi-purpose lathe, so we design and manufacture the unit to match the turret shape of the multi-purpose lathe to be installed. There are two basic specifications: 32mm stroke GS type and 51mm stroke GSL type. When selecting a unit, please contact Yamada Machine Tools with the target work drawing and information on the equipment you are considering installing. Yamada Machine Tool's sales staff, who have extensive experience handling holders for multi-purpose lathes and slotting tools, will support installation. The unit body is manufactured by BENZ in Germany, and the prism holder and slotting insert are supplied by Brighetti in Italy.
