About This Product

Tools that can be used on lathes and machining centers to process various shapes such as keyways, square holes, hexagonal holes, and splines. We provide alignment plates to properly install slotting tools on machining centers and milling machines that do not have a precision angle indexing function on their spindles. This highly precisely finished plate is attached to the holder instead of an insert and the position is checked using a dial gauge. Adjust the way the tool is installed so that the axes of the tool and workpiece match.

■Basic installation method to machining center/CNC milling machine

・1.Attach directly to the side lock (Weldon) holder. (We recommend a holder that supports internal lubrication) ・2. Set the spindle to the index position (e.g. FANUC M19). ・3. Attach the alignment plate, measure the side of the alignment plate with a dial gauge or length measuring device, and adjust until it is parallel to the groove processing position. ・4. After completing the adjustment, tighten the side lock screw to secure the holder. Remove the alignment plate and install the insert.
