About This Product

■Summary During construction of power generation and substations, before connecting VTs and CTs to actual circuits, tests are conducted to confirm the margin of the connected circuits against the secondary and tertiary rated loads of VTs and CTs (circuit load measurement). This measuring instrument is designed to perform these tests safely and easily. This product has been improved from our previous product and can be used with a single-phase AC100V power supply. This was developed in fiscal 2016 through commissioned research by Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc.'s Kitakami Technology Center. ■Built-in test power supply and voltage/current measuring device This measuring device has a built-in test power supply and voltage/current measuring device, making it possible to perform burden measurements with just one device. The power supply for this measuring instrument is single-phase AC100V, but it can output three-phase output for measuring VT circuit load, so it can be measured even in environments where there is no three-phase power supply. ■Easy and speedy measurement Easy operation, just select the type of strain measurement and press the START button. Measurements can be taken in a short time, approximately 3 to 7 seconds. In addition, the load value is automatically converted to the rating and displayed, so you can check the load value immediately after measurement. ■Small and lightweight Compared to our conventional product (CVE-17A), it is approximately 1/5 the size and 1/4 the weight, making it significantly smaller and lighter. ■Two types of connection terminals Two types of alligator clips and Y-type crimp terminals are available for connection to the load measurement location. You can choose the one you like according to the terminal shape of the measurement point. ■Safety design This measuring instrument is designed so that it will not malfunction even if the connecting terminals are short-circuited. In addition, in case of an emergency, the output of the test power supply is equipped with a fuse to prevent overcurrent from flowing to the object being measured.
