About This Product

■Summary

Confirmation tests of main circuits and VCT circuits must be carried out during construction of power generation and substations, etc., and this device applies test voltage to the main circuit of power generation and substations, and performs comprehensive phase detection of the main circuit and VCT secondary circuit. It was developed and improved in 2004 and 2004 through commissioned research by Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc.'s Yamagata Technical Center, with the aim of conducting accurate confirmation tests.

■Features

Conventional models of this device include the VCT circuit primary tester CVE-15 and the CT circuit primary tester CVE-20, which have the following features.

■Equipment integration

Previous models consisted of multiple units such as a power supply and a resistance box, but in this device the resistance box is built into the lid of the main unit, and is separated when in use and integrated when stored.

■Reducing the weight of the device

In order to reduce the weight of the device, the resistor used especially in the secondary side test was made as small as 0.1Ω, and the power transformer capacity was minimized.

■Simplification of operation

The test voltage can be selected using a push button switch.

■Labor saving in testing

Built-in voltage, current, and phase meters save labor during testing.In particular, the phase meter measures primary side (power supply) voltage R-N, S-N, T-N, R-S, S-T, T-R and secondary side current R, S, T. You can display the phase of any combination of 0 to 360° (delayed phase is positive).

■Suitable for both primary and secondary side tests

There are two methods for confirmation testing of the main circuit and VCT circuit: applying a test voltage from the primary side of the transformer (primary side test) and applying test voltage from the secondary side of the transformer (secondary side test). This device is compatible with both (see Figures 1 and 2).
