■Product overview

OptiHub2 is a dedicated hub that is essential for maximizing the capabilities of any USB type OptiTrack system. It provides stable power to the camera to cover a larger capture range, and cabling is simple and easy to set up. It also supports synchronization with external devices such as shutter glasses and force plates.

■Onboard voltage adjustment for stable power supply

Commercially available USB hubs provide unstable power supply, but OptiHub2, which is equipped with a power adjustment function, supplies stable power to the camera. It supplies power without any problems even when the IR strobes of all cameras are set to maximum brightness, resulting in more stable tracking with fewer dropouts.

■Supports shutter glasses

You can use commercially available 3D shutter glasses by turning off the camera's IR strobe. Connect a video card that supports stereo output signals to Sync In, and connect the shutter glasses' signal generator to Sync Out. It can also be adjusted in software to avoid interference between the motion capture camera and shutter glasses.

■External synchronization in/out

External sync in/out functionality allows the OptiTrack system to be integrated into larger tracking and analysis systems. Frame triggering or free-running triggering is available to synchronize with hardware or external software controls such as force plates and shutter glasses.

■Hub-to-hub sync function

OptiHub2 connected to the same system automatically transmits the synchronization signal to all connected cameras. OptiSync identifies the relationship between all cameras and hubs connected to each other and assigns a camera number based on the port position of OptiHub2.

■Sync signal via USB

With our unique sync system OptiSync, sync signals are sent and received using only a USB cable. This cuts the cables in half and results in simpler cabling.
