■Product overview

eSync2 allows you to synchronize your Ethernet camera to almost any signal, including professional video genlock, general purpose input signals, and software commands. Using the trigger signal, it is possible to synchronize the start/stop timing of recording between the Ethernet camera system and external equipment. It is also possible to synchronize the sink output or trigger signal to a DAQ for floor reaction force meter data arrays, or to obtain highly accurate timing with SMPTE signals. With one eSync2 per system, cameras are synchronized to within +/-5µs. The PoE Ethernet connection can be easily synchronized with the source signal in the lab or studio. You can also convert signals with convenient output signals that are precisely synchronized to many inputs.

■GenLock sink-in

Synchronize OptiTrack's Ethernet cameras to external video sources via SD Blackburst and HD tri-level analog input signals. Genlock is great for on-set capture, camera tracking, reference video, head-mounted facial capture, etc.

■General external signal input

・solated – if the sink signal is above 3.3V or has a different ground reference High Impedance – Three High Impedance digital inputs can be used to send synchronization signals from external devices to eSync2.

■SMPTE time code input

Data recorded/real-time streamed in SMPTE timecode is useful for later compositing with other media. Timecode is supported by Arena's FBX, C3D, NatNet, and TrackingTools' CSV, NatNet, VRPN.
