About This Product

■Alnico

A typical old magnet, it is a cast magnet made by adding aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), and cobalt (Co) to iron (Fe).

■Information about Alnico magnets

The basic ingredients are iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), and cobalt (Co), and since it is brittle and has no malleability, it is manufactured by melting and alloying the raw metals at high temperatures and then casting them into molds. Therefore, they are also called cast magnets. It has the advantages of high Br value, high temperature stability, low temperature demagnetization and thermal demagnetization, and high mechanical strength. However, because the coercive force Hcj is small, demagnetization easily occurs due to external magnetic fields, and it also has limitations such as being unsuitable for thin products. In terms of design, it is important to choose a magnetization method that fully considers the shape and magnetic properties, and an assembly method that takes care to prevent demagnetization.
