About This Product

The DMC-1806 motion controller is Galil's highest performance PCI motion controller card with full functionality. It supports 1-axis to 8-axis formats, and each axis can control a stepping motor or servo motor. Encoder input also supports up to 22MHz. The powerful RISC processor in the controller allows you to multitask up to eight application programs at the same time. This enables things like PID compensation, including feedforward based on velocity and acceleration, and general-purpose I/O provides advanced functionality such as motivating axis motion using external events.

■Main specifications

・Can control from 1 to 8 axes (x in “18x6” in the model number is the number of axes) - Stepping motors and servo motors can be freely selected for any axis. ・Maximum control speed: Encoder input 22MHz, pulse output to stepping motor 6MHz ・PID control: speed/acceleration/deceleration feedforward, integral limit, notch filter and low-pass filter ・Flexible interpolation mode: Positioning between two points (linear/circular interpolation) Equipped with electronic gear and electronic cam functions Equipped with elliptical scaling, deceleration specification at corners, infinite segment, feed, and feed rate override ・Programming language: Over 200 words of intuitive English-style commands ・Program: Store programs, variables, and array data in onboard non-volatile memory. Multitasking programs can run up to 8 programs at the same time ・Photocoupler: Photocoupler input of forward end, backward end, and origin is possible for all axes. ・Input/output: 1-4 axis models have 8 input/output points, 5-8 axis models have 24 input points, 16 output points - 64 points of I/O can be expanded using the optional DB-14064 ・High-speed position comparison: Pulse output is possible when the specified encoder position is passed (can be used for laser ON/OFF control of laser processing machines, etc.) ・Analog input: 8 general-purpose analog inputs available ・Encoder input: Two encoder inputs are provided for each axis, which can be used for double loops, etc. ・Supported OS: Compatible with Windows and Linux
