About This Product

The DMC-4000 motion controller is Galil's highest performance standalone motion controller. Encoder input also supports up to 22MHz. It houses the full functionality of a multi-axis drive in a compact housing and can be operated standalone or by a PC via Ethernet 10/100Base-T or RS232. The controller has optocoupler I/O and high current output options for driving relays and brakes. It is also powered by a 20-80VDC power supply. It supports up to 8 axes, and each axis can operate a stepping motor or servo motor depending on the settings. The controller's powerful RISC processor allows you to multitask up to eight application programs at the same time. This enables things like PID compensation, including feedforward based on velocity and acceleration, and general-purpose I/O provides advanced functionality such as motivating axis motion using external events.

■Main specifications

・Communication port: Equipped with 10/100BASE-T Ethernet and RS232 serial port (maximum 115kbps) - Stepping motors and servo motors can be freely selected for any axis. Brushless servo motor allows sine wave drive ・Maximum control speed: Encoder input 22MHz, pulse output to stepping motor 6MHz ・PID control: speed/acceleration/deceleration feedforward, integral limit, notch filter and low-pass filter ・Flexible interpolation mode: Positioning between two points (linear/circular interpolation) Equipped with electronic gear and electronic cam functions Equipped with elliptical scaling, deceleration specification at corners, infinite segment, feed, and feed rate override ・Programming language: Over 200 words of intuitive English-style commands ・Program: Store programs, variables, and array data in onboard non-volatile memory. Multitasking programs can run up to 8 programs at the same time ・Photocoupler: Photocoupler input of forward end, backward end, and origin is possible for all axes. ・Input/output: 8 input/output points for 1-4 axis models, 16 input/output points for 5-8 axis models ・High output power supply: Equipped with a high output power supply for driving relays and brakes.
