Open reel is a safe and secure cord reel that does not turn on electricity unless all the wires are pulled out. There is no risk of the wires heating up, burning out, or melting when used while rolled.
As stated in the instruction manual, the general rule is to use a cord reel with all the wires pulled out. The rated current that can be used while wound is around 5A. (It varies slightly depending on the wire specifications.) If the wire burns out when used while rolled, it will not be covered by the warranty. This product was created based on user feedback to eliminate such risks.
