About This Product

A retaining ring that is not bound by standards. Spiral retaining rings can be manufactured to the specifications intended by the designer, contributing to flexible designs. Used for fixing plain bearings for rotor shafts. It was adopted due to its superiority in assembly in narrow spaces. Reliability under harsh environments has also been evaluated.

■Features

・Since the flat wire material with rounded corners is coiled, there are no burrs, sag, or burrs that occur with press-formed retaining rings. ・Because it is coiled, the material yield is high and it is an environmentally friendly product. ・In addition to using a special jig, assembly can be done by hand. Removal can be easily done with a flathead screwdriver. ・There is no protrusion for attaching and detaching the JIS retaining ring, and it can be detached using a cutout at the tip called a notch. ・In addition to common carbon steel, rust-resistant stainless steel is also available.

■Removal and installation of spiral retaining ring

When assembling the ring, it can be assembled by hand without using any special tools. It is also possible to use special jigs to increase work efficiency. To remove it, place the tip of a flathead screwdriver in the notch and pull the end of the ring up from the groove to remove it.
