About This Product

Tools and molds must be tempered at a low temperature of around 200℃ after being hardened. Additionally, molds and tools made by SKD and SKH are tempered at a high temperature of around 520℃. The lifespan of the mold will vary several times depending on the quality of the tempering.

■Purpose of tempering

・Removes internal stress caused by quenching and prevents quench cracking. - Stabilizes unstable quenched martensite and prevents deformation over time. ・Toughness is imparted by tempering to a hardness suitable for the application. ・High-temperature tempering of SKD metal is effective in preventing wire cut electric discharge machining cracks. - High-temperature tempering prevents dimensional changes during hot temperatures and improves heat check resistance.

■Characteristics of RBM type

・The operating temperature is wide ranging from 100 to 550℃, and various low/medium temperature heat treatments can be performed. ・The inside of the furnace is equipped with a stirring fan and a wind guide to circulate hot air. In addition, excellent temperature distribution can be obtained by switching the heater in two stages. ・The interior is made of stainless steel for robustness and long life. In addition, the heat insulation is made of double steel plates and is a small/power saving type that uses lightweight insulation material. ・Heater 2-stage switching
