About This Product

■Diverse firing of new materials. Compatible with high temperature experiments

A high-temperature furnace used for melting metals, firing ceramics, and various high-temperature experiments, and is mainly used in laboratories, development rooms, schools, etc. Electric furnaces with metal heating elements are mainly used at temperatures up to 1,100℃, but the HT and KSM types use ceramic heating elements and high-temperature insulation materials, so they can be used in high-temperature ranges from 1,200℃ to 1,700℃. It's now possible.

■Characteristics of KSM type

・KS heater is a "cermet" material mainly composed of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) and glass phase ceramic additives. ・As a thin quartz glass protective layer is formed on the surface, it can withstand oxidation at high temperatures (unknown) and can be used in air up to 1,700℃. ・With the combination of KS heater's ceramic fiber insulation (unknown) with low bulk specific gravity, the temperature can rise to 1,600℃ in 30 to 60 minutes.

■Types of resistance heating elements

Metal heating elements include iron-chromium-aluminum (Fe-Cr Al), nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) alloy heating elements, tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), tantalum (Ta), There are high melting point single metal heating elements such as platinum (Pt). Non-metallic heating elements include silicon carbide heating elements (SiC), molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2), lanthanum chromite (LaCrO2), and carbon graphite (C).
