The PS-218 oil application device is a device intended for applying processing oil to materials during press metal processing. PS-218 consists of a controller, liquid distribution device (oil tank), and nozzle. The controller is responsible for adjusting the amount of oil applied and controlling the nozzle and air solenoid valve. The liquid distribution device (oil tank) consists of a solenoid valve, an air regulator, and a pressurized tank, and distributes the processing oil from the pressurized tank to the nozzle under the control of the controller. To adjust the amount of oil applied, open the solenoid valve provided for each nozzle for a set time at the timing determined in the oil application control mode. Up to 5 nozzles can be connected to the liquid distribution device. The number of nozzles that can be connected varies depending on the PS-218 model.

The detection ability of the scrap detector, which is essential in precision press processing, will be improved. With conventional lubrication methods, the amount of machining oil deposited was inconsistent, making it impossible to distinguish from scrap build-up. When PS-218 is used to uniformly apply the coating, PS-464's high-precision detection ability with a resolution of 0.1 μm can be fully utilized, making it possible to detect even finer particles.
