About This Product
■Product overview
PS-255 is a lubricating device for metal working presses that uses an electromagnetic pump and spray nozzle. The electromagnetic pump installed in each spray nozzle can be digitally controlled to finely adjust the amount of oil applied to each nozzle. The spray nozzle uses compressed air to atomize processing oil at low pressure and spray it uniformly onto the workpiece. The PS-255 series, which combines a controller, tank, nozzle, etc., can meet a wide range of requirements for oils with low kinematic viscosity (10 mm2/s or less).
Features
■Can be used with up to 12 nozzles *16 nozzles (optional)
6 nozzles for the upper side of the material and 6 nozzles for the lower side of the material, allowing coating using up to 12 nozzles.
■Large capacity/multiple oil tanks
The PS-255 uses 10L and 20L tanks with a lower limit float switch, and there are models equipped with one 20L tank, two 20L tanks, and three 10L tanks. Multiple oil tanks allow you to switch between different types of oil.
■Multiple registration of spray settings
Up to 100 sets of spray settings can be registered in the bank. 64 sets can be specified from external input.
■Connection of monitoring sensor
Up to 4 KEYENCE flow sensors (FD-SS02A) can be connected.
*Maximum of 16 units available as an option
■About spray oil amount adjustment
The electromagnetic pump installed in PS-255 is driven by DC24V voltage pulses. The amount of oil fed is controlled by the voltage pulse width (pulse ON time) (ms) and pulse frequency (Hz). The pulse width is related to the stroke amount of the plunger in the electromagnetic pump, and the longer the pulse width, the greater the stroke amount.
Pulse frequency is the number of strokes of the plunger during 1s. The higher the pulse frequency, the higher the number of strokes. The longer the pulse width and the higher the pulse frequency, the more oil will be sent, but the tendency will vary depending on the kinematic viscosity of the oil and piping conditions. Additionally, if the pulse width and frequency are set so that the plunger does not reciprocate normally, the amount of oil delivered will become unstable. Pulse width is set for each pump. Set two pulse frequencies: one for UPPER (CH1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11) and one for LOWER (CH2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12).
