■Product overview
The light sensor OS series is a retroreflective photoelectric sensor for detecting the passage of a workpiece during automatic press processing. A signal is output when a workpiece passes between the sensor body and the reflector. It is installed at the mold exit, shooter, belt conveyor, etc. for detection. This product is used by connecting to our error detection devices PS-682, PS-662, PS-661, PS-104, PS-101, etc.

Up to 50% smaller than our conventional products.
■Improved sensitivity
The use of a modulated light method reduces the effects of ambient light, and the automatic adjustment function maintains stable sensitivity over long periods of use. Furthermore, by increasing the mounting density of the light emitting and receiving elements by approximately 1.3 times compared to our conventional products, it is possible to detect smaller workpieces.
■Equipped with presence/absence detection function
Presence detection, which was not present in our conventional products, has been added. This makes it possible to detect workpieces that remain within the detection effective range.
■Digital display
Sensitivity has been changed from the conventional dial type to a digital display. Easy to manage, reducing setting errors and adjustment man-hours.
■Remote operation possible
Sensitivity changes and function settings can be made using our error detection device (remote operation compatible models only).
■Various settings possible with digital display
You can set ON/OFF of presence detection, polarity of signal output, etc.
■Compatible with 2 types of installation methods
You can choose between an integrated installation where the light sensor body and reflector are installed together, or a separate installation where each is installed separately.
■Minimum detection object size (detection distance 100mm, maximum sensitivity)
・Passage detection: 1mm diameter sphere (opaque object)
・Presence detection: 1mm diameter rod (opaque body)
