■HVC360 Pinhole/defect detection tester

HVC360 is a tester suitable for various types of enamelled wire, and reliably detects pinholes and insulation defects. HVC360 uses a soft brush to inspect the enamel wire without damaging it.

■Features

・Inspect 360° around the wire -Less damage to enamel ・Wide range of wire diameters ・Improved detection of insulation defects ・Less damage to the wire due to sparks ・Measurement standards: Compliant with NEMA MW1000—2003, IEC0851-5 The measurement principle is to generate a uniform ion layer (corona) using a high-voltage power supply, and the resulting electric field acts 360 degrees around the area to detect pinholes and insulation defects on the outer circumference of the enamelled wire. Errors are defined as pinholes or insulation defects. DSE's HVC system has two selectable detection thresholds expressed as a percentage of 100μA. By adjusting the test voltage and sensitivity of the threshold detector in the unit, the system records the following error groups: Threshold 1 counts pinholes, and Threshold 2 counts insulation defects in thin enamel. There are various detection heads for handling everything from ultra-fine wires to flat wires. It can also be applied to inspection after forming.
