About This Product

NOVODAMP® is also one of GERB's innovative products that meets the highest quality demands and the most stringent quality control standards. Developed and manufactured in Germany, NOVODAMP® is mainly used for elastic supports in buildings, railway track vibration isolation and stiffening sections of railway tracks, but also for mass spring systems and elastic supports in machinery. . Our product group has 15 types depending on the supported load, and can support a wide range of loads. Additionally, it is available in various thicknesses, allowing optimal frequency tuning for each project. The thickness of NOVODAMP® can be changed by adhesion, and the shape can be changed by cutting. It is also possible to add indentations. NOVODAMP® has a frequency range of approximately 8Hz or higher, and by combining it with our spring elements, it is possible to provide all kinds of effective vibration countermeasures from low frequency ranges to high frequency ranges. Typical applications for NOVODAMP® are railway track vibration isolation and elastic support for building structures. In addition to full-scale laying, it is also possible to lay partially or in strips. NOVODAMP® is a closed cell polyurethane material, which has a very low water absorption rate compared to open cell types. This allows it to be used in environments containing water, such as underground spaces. Additionally, there is no change in rigidity due to water absorption, and the loss coefficient is extremely small, making it a suitable material for vibration isolation. Additionally, NOVODAMP® can optionally be glued with a fleece layer. This serves to protect the product when supporting things like railway track ballast. Depending on the customer's individual project, we will propose an individual design that includes selecting the optimal product model, selecting dimensions, and providing drawings.
