・Si (silicon) and Al (aluminum) composite material, lighter than aluminum ・Can be processed with carbide tools

■Features

・Specific gravity: Lighter than aluminum (2.45 Gcm3) ・Young's modulus: Same as steel (117GPa) ・Specific stiffness (Young's modulus/specific gravity): Higher than Alsic (Sic 30%, Al 70%). 3 times higher than cast iron ・Thermal expansion coefficient: Closer to the thermal expansion coefficient of SUS guide ・Workability: Can be cut with carbide tools ・Vibration damping property: Excellent vibration damping property ・No gas release in vacuum environment

■Applications

Precision drive parts ・Semiconductor manufacturing pre-process (exposure equipment, inspection equipment) ・Semiconductor manufacturing post-process (bonder, chip mounter)
