■Summary

Composite material of graphite (extruded material) and aluminum, specific gravity is as light as graphite, thermal expansion coefficient is similar to ceramics, mainly enhances heat conduction and heat diffusion.

■Features

・Thermal diffusivity: 2.1 times that of copper, 2.7 times that of aluminum ・Thermal expansion coefficient: Approximately 1/2 that of copper, approximately 1/3 that of aluminum ・Density: 1/4 or less of copper ・Easy to plate (nickel, gold, copper, etc.) - Resistant to heat cycles

■Ideal for heat dissipation boards such as LED/LD and IGBT

- Quickly diffuses heat into the material ・Quickly dissipates heat to the atmosphere

■Applications

Ideal material for heat management of computers, LEDs, power devices, and heat dissipation of consumed electrons

■Expected demand

・Replacement with copper and aluminum metal substrates (heat spreader) ・Heat sink for IGBT module
