About This Product

■Summary

Alnico magnets are magnets manufactured by casting or sintering using aluminum, nickel, cobalt, etc. as raw materials. Although the magnetic force is not low, it is easy to demagnetize, so care must be taken when handling it. The main feature of alnico magnets is that they can be used in high-temperature environments (below 500℃). Although it has the highest residual magnetic flux density among permanent magnets, it has a low coercive force and is subject to severe demagnetization due to impact, so it is often used in elongated or horseshoe-shaped shapes. In addition, it is expensive due to the cost of materials (cobalt, etc.) and molds (necessary in the manufacturing process), and it has a small temperature coefficient, so it is often used in instruments such as meters. No surface treatment is required, but it will oxidize.
