■What is Pooling Eye?
This is a traction tool that is attached to the tip of an optical cable and used to lay underground conduits and subscriber lines. Since the cable tension member is pulled, no unnecessary force is applied to the fiber. If you would like to use a pulling eye attached to an optical cable, please let us know when making an inquiry.
■Flame retardancy of optical cables
Standards expressing the flame retardancy of optical cables include the National Electrical Code (NEC) of the United States overseas, and in Japan the standard grade JIS C 3005 (60° tilt test) and the highly flame retardant grade JIS C 3521 (vertical tray test). Plenums (CMP) and risers (CMR) specified by the US National Electrical Code require higher flame retardancy than JIS C 3521.
